Design philosophy.

A way of building interfaces I keep arriving back at: one accent doing every job, type carrying the identity, hairlines carrying the structure, and decoration spent deliberately. Within those laws there is real room to move. Step through the aspects, choose, and watch the sample site wear each decision; a complete system comes out the other end.

Color

A system earns color by rationing it. The ground is a quiet near-neutral, the ink is dark but never black, and exactly one accent takes every interactive job, with soft and faint companions for its states. A second color is allowed only as a signature or a warning, never as a second voice.

  • One accent, every action.
  • Grounds are near-neutral, warm or cool or dark, never pure white or black.
  • Raw values live in one place; everything else composes semantic names.
